Innovative company seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Specialist in Broomfield, CO!

Job Description

Shipping and Receiving Specialist will be responsible for both shipping and receiving tasks. The majority of the time will be focused on shipping, but the ability to float between shipping and receiving as needed is essential. The role involves using an MRP system to track inventory and shipping/receiving processes. You will also handle special client procedures and ensure accurate and efficient fulfillment of orders.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and examine goods received, verifying order completeness against invoices.

• Process paperwork and enter data into the computer system.

• Deliver goods to appropriate areas such as QA or Stores for further processing.

• Troubleshoot problems with the appropriate department.

• Enter drop ship information into the system, print reports, and distribute as required.

• Box and crate parts or palletize parts as necessary for incoming or outgoing shipments.

• Ship parts via UPS, including handling boxing and UPS documentation.

• Receive and deliver returned parts, logging as necessary.

• Schedule shipping methods, carriers, and dates.

• Load and unload major components such as dryers or compressors.

• Handle parts and materials as required.

• Assist co-workers with various tasks.

• Follow safe job practices, ensuring products are secure before loading lifts and maintaining a safe work environment.

• Determine the best procedure to complete assignments efficiently and accurately.

• Notify appropriate personnel if changes are required.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

• Experience in shipping and receiving roles.

• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems.

• Good computer skills.

• Ability to keep accurate records of goods shipped and received.

• Knowledge of preparing products for shipment and handling packaging and material handling.

• Familiarity with logistics, picking, unloading, and order selection.

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.

• Working knowledge of various hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with inventory management.

• Ability to use a hand truck or similar equipment.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment

The role is based in a warehouse/manufacturing environment. The warehouse is fairly large with around 25 employees and operates on a quality-based production model. Physical demands include standing, pulling, pushing, reaching, walking, bending, twisting, lifting, climbing, and frequently lifting items weighing between 25-60 lbs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broomfield, Colorado.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00
