Vail Resorts Payroll Coordinator in Broomfield, Colorado

Job Summary:

Provides support with processing US and Canadian payrolls. This position requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines. Must be able to provide Payroll and Time & Labor support to employees, supervisors, managers and Finance and HR Operations staff. Must demonstrate a desire to be involved and in a fast-paced environment. At least one year of payroll processing or accounting experience is preferred.

Job Specifications:

  • Outlet: Corporate - Broomfield, CO

  • Expected Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.49 / hour

  • Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full Time / Year Round

  • Other Specifics: Hybrid

Job Responsibilities:

  • Bi-weekly payroll processing including but not limited to data entry, auditing, uploads for bi-weekly pay of pay entry data, and payroll adjustments.

  • Process off-cycle checks, voids & reissues.

  • Process seasonal PTO, severance and relocation as assigned.

  • Ensuring compliance with company policy and legislation.

  • Partnering with other members of Finance and HR teams to support and deliver quality work related to employee files, HR policies, procedures and the overall employee experience.

  • Assist with completing payroll audits/reviews to ensure accuracy of pay and identify potential errors.

  • Provide Time & Labor support to HR Operations, Managers, Supervisor and T&L Users.

  • Coordinate printing, packaging and distribution of checks/advices as assigned on site at our corporate office.

  • Other additional payroll duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or commensurate experience preferred.

  • At least one year of payroll and/or accounting experience preferred.

  • PeopleSoft, Excel, Word & Outlook experience required. PowerPoint and One Note preferred.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.

  • Ability to work under deadline pressure.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees.

Other Requirements:

  • Holidays, Weekends, and Evenings coverage/availability.

  • Equipment used in job includes computer, check printer, and folding machine.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $20.00 - $24.49. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays. Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate.
