Vail Resorts Manager, Corporate Lodging Operations in Broomfield, Colorado

Job Summary:

The Manager of Corporate Lodging Operations is responsible for supporting operations for the Company’s lodging division, Vail Resorts Hospitality. This includes support of the Company’s property management IT system, lodging and hotel guest experience, and reservation accounting. This role will regularly partner with Accounting, Finance, IT, and property leaders (lodging general managers, housekeeping directors, engineering teams, etc.) to drive operational efficiencies and financial advancements through reporting and analysis, as well as the creation of SOPs and training documents. Simplifying complex concepts and communicating them effectively is key, as is engaging enthusiastically with team members across all levels of the organization. Must quickly adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks as priorities are realigned.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in cross-departmental teams to develop standards and strategies for the lodging division (checkout cleans, resort fees, brand standards, guest experience, etc.)

  • Support resort-based leaders to share best practices for monitoring and improving OpEx (examples: monitoring aging balances; billing maintenance and resolution, bad-debt management; etc.).

  • Educate and engage cross-functional teams on the importance of continuous improvement practices by creating and facilitating SOPs, Best Practice Groups, Trainings, and System Go-Lives for lodging division.

  • Partner with Corporate Accounting, Owner Accounting, Group Billing, Finance, Tax and other shared service departments to audit and maintain accounting and billing practices within the lodging division.

  • Limit bad-debt incurred by the lodging division through additional training and support of operators.

  • Provide property management software support including managing bug ticket tracking, testing, and production release process; as well as inputting on the Hospitality IT roadmap of the lodging division.

  • Monitor and report on the operational performance of Vail Resorts Hospitality against its key metrics, conducting root cause analysis for any issues and proposing solutions. Engage with lodging resort leaders to utilize metrics and communicate performance to enterprise-level stakeholders.

  • Multi-level project management and presentation experience needed.

Job Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality, Accounting or related field

  • 4+ years hospitality or related experience

  • Advanced Excel, Word and Power Point skills

  • Ability to read, speak and understand English

  • Passion for the guest experience

  • 1+ year experience in financial analysis and accounting

  • Knowledge of accounting practices and financial analysis capabilities

  • IQWare/IQTrac functional knowledge

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Project Management experience a plus

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
