This position is in the Military Space Strategic Business Unit. This individual will support both Space Systems SBU FP&A Management & Military Space FP&A Management in providing financial solutions to enable the company to accurately project budgets, rates, financial forecasts, and reporting of key financial metrics. This role is within Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).

The Finance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers the expertise and business acumen to increase value across the enterprise by providing actionable information with recommendations and opportunities to drive sustainable business growth.

What You ll Do:

  • Support timely and accurate forecasts to SBU Management to include Sales, EBIT, Orders, Cash Flow, and the associated elements of costs tied to direct program performance. Consolidate product line financial inputs on a periodic basis to formulate Quarterly Forecasts and Annual Operating and Integrated Business Plans.

  • Formulate and manage indirect budgets and provide Executive Management with wrap rate implications of labor base and indirect budget cost trades.

  • Conduct variance analyses and assessing impacts to assigned budgets, labor base projections, and associated impact on wrap rates.

  • Support the assessment of program profitability against commitments and the impact of program risks on profitability projections. Provide sound business rationale for changes in program profitability over time.

  • Provide direction to the SBU in determining proper labor charging of activities that are in accordance with company Procedures and Processes.

  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

  • Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • BS/BA in a related field plus 10 or more years related experience.

  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

  • Outstanding knowledge of financial tools and applications. An expert in extracting information out of the accounting system and utilizing Business Objects (BO), BART and EDW capabilities for analytical purposes in a timely manner.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with Executive Management on pertinent issues impacting the business.

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships by interacting appropriately with others, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

  • Effective change management skills with a demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a cross functional environment.

  • Sound decision-making skills in an operational environment.

  • Ability to inspire self and others, make lasting connections and achieve results within a team environment.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and drive for results.

A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.

  • A key player in driving efficiencies into reporting and process automation, BART, BI Dashboards etc.

  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external Customers.

  • Ability to challenge and improve knowledge of industry practices and standards as well as company policies.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $124080.000 - $210980.000

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
