HeartShare Human Services of New York Maintenance Worker in Brookyln, New York
Job Responsibilities
Makes use janitorial equipment and supplies to maintain the cleanliness of the facility (waxing/buffing, mops, vacuum cleaners, brooms, power washers, etc. Knowledge of cleaning/sanitizing products, including green products. Cleans and sanitizes all restrooms, classrooms, common areas, and offices throughout the workday, including vents, windows, windowsills, etc. Initiative and judgment to identify and correct discrepancies and problems as they occur. General knowledge of building trades (painting, sheetrock, plastering, etc.) to undertake small repairs in these areas under direct supervision. Familiarity with proper operation of electrical equipment and hand tools sufficient to carry out job tasks listed. Sufficient academic and communication skills to undertake training and certification for various certificates courses, i.e. OSHA Will be required to work effectively around people of varying backgrounds, as well as young children, adolescents, and the community at large. *In addition to responsibilities below, performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Two (2) years of maintenance experience NYS driver license preferred
Pay Rate: $20.27-$22.91/hr.
Positions are available in Brooklyn & Queens.
