Description

Cindy Bradley is seeking for this growing Mfg client located WEST of Katy, TEXAS ! A thrilling opportunity for an experienced Controller! An established organization is seeking a key member to join their management team. The Controller will assume a strategic role in the managing the financial-related activities of the company, working closely with the General Manager and Leadership team to plan, implement, and control these activities.

As a Controller, you will:

  • Collaborate with the General Manager on company-wide budgeting and forecasting

  • Maintain an active role in all aspects of the finance and accounting functions

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and manage key metrics reporting

  • Lead the continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives

  • Support in establishing sales and financial goals and assisting in meeting these goals

  • Provide routine reporting of key metrics

  • Offer advice on financial implications of business activities

  • Lead or participate in key company initiatives involving markets, products, technologies and services

  • Help in preparing annual production and financial budgets

  • Support in designing wage incentives, commissions, and salaries for staff

  • Prepare business tax returns, manage commercial banking relationships, and interface with outside audit firms, suppliers, vendors, and insurance agents

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Accounting/Finance and Purchasing departments

  • Ensure accuracy and productivity of daily operations such as accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing, customer collections, and more

  • Oversee the purchasing function, including inventory and job-specific purchases

To qualify, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a progressively responsible financial leadership role

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and management skills

  • Solid understanding of work in progress accounting and cost accounting

  • Impressive problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the ability to familiarize yourself with ERP systems

  • High level of integrity and dependability with a sense of urgency

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Demonstrated ability to manage all Accounting Functions

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience in Auditing practices and procedures

• Knowledge of Budget Processes and ability to implement them

• Skilled in Ad Hoc Financial Analysis

• Ability to Prepare Financial Statements accurately and timely

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks Enterprise software

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
