Position Summary:
Sr. Extrusion Technician position is responsible for the safe and functional operation of extruders and all downstream equipment. Will be responsible for developing processes and improving current processes to manufacture products to customer specification. Will assist in the development of tooling and fixtures required. Perform duties below to meet department production and/or development demands following quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up machine and other equipment required to make the items to be run during assigned shift.
Inspect products according to approved methods and standards using approved equipment.
Observe machine operation to detect work-piece defects or machine malfunction.
Trains team members and new employee on machines and department procedures.
Assists Engineering in the development of manufacturing procedures and tool designing.
Must Have:
3+ years Extrusion experience.
IQ/OQ Validation experience
Experience with ISO Quality systems and World Class Manufacturing principles
Medical device or highly regulated industry manufacturing background
Must be able to communicate (verbal & written) and comprehend English
Good to have:
Degree/Certificate in Plastics Technology or related field
Computer Animated Drafting
