YOU ARE A PART OF:

The engineering team consisting of other engineers with diverse backgrounds and expertise. The Engineering team works in close collaboration with Operations, R&D, and Purchasing. You will be involved in the design, development, documentation and validation of new customer products, and modification of existing products including defining requirements, timelines, and deliverables with a focus on prototypes, process development, design verification, clinical builds, training production, and preparation for process validation and manufacturing transfer of products.

JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for full life cycle support of Class III, ASIC driven,

neuromodulation platforms. The life cycle begins with defining system and ASIC architecture, features,

and specifications and continues through board-level and system-level production test fixture

development. Job responsibilities span from the implanted neuromodulation system to associated

peripherals such as patient and clinician programmers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hardware level design of class III implantable neuromodulation devices and peripherals.

    o This hardware typically includes a microcontroller/processor, MICS-band and/or Bluetooth

    Low Energy communications, inductive recharging circuits, and fully custom ASICs.

    • PCB electrical schematic design and layout

    • Debug and solve hardware performance issues

    • Circuit layouts for ASIC evaluations & development platforms,

    • Develop automated test systems for ASICs and board-level assemblies.

    • Specify and assemble hardware for test stations.

    • Ensure that medical device components are compliant with applicable international standards and

    requirements.

    o ISO 13485, 60601

    • Maintain FDA compliant Design History File and participate in periodic phase reviews.

    • Complies with company, quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures

    • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor-s degree (STEM engineering discipline preferred) and 5 years of experience required; or a combination of education and relevant work experience.

    • Experience in an engineering environment with mechanical, tool design, and manufacturing

    processes (medical device preferred)

    • Meticulous attention to detail, including ability to maintain accurate records and traceability.

    • Experienced with Quality Control principles and methodology

    • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English

    • Analytical reasoning and problem solving

    • Experience in developing requirements, engineering specifications, procedures

    • Team player and goal oriented

    • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

    • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
