Position summary: The Moldmaker-Repair/Maintenance will support the Molding business unit and be responsible for repairing a wide variety of highly intricate and complicated tools, meeting extremely close tolerances. Performing highly skilled fitting, adjusting, and timing. Responsibilities Moldmaker-Repair/Maintenance Job Responsibilities:
- Injection mold maintenance and repair
- Toolroom machinist background with lathes, mills, surface grinders, etc.
- Accurately records and documents tool repairs in asset management software
- Identify improvement possibilities for tool development
- Read and comply with work instructions and checklists
- Accurately record and report hours worked
- Adhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
- Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
- Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
- Participate in required company meetings
- Maintain an organized work area (5S)
- Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
- Complete all other work duties as assigned
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Qualifications Moldmaker-Repair/Maintenance Job Requirements:
- 2 years of technical/trade school
- 5+ years of bench experience
- Advance knowledge of plastic injection mold fit/form/function to include hot runner systems, sensors, servo motor and hydraulic integration.
- Understanding of quality procedures
- Ability to read prints
- Knowledge of CAD software
- Prior work experience operating grinding equipment, manual mills and lathes, CNC mills, EDM, etc
- Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of engineering and tool design required
- Strong interpersonal, communication, relationship building and coaching skills
Moldmaker-Repair/Maintenance Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in injection molding operations
- Working knowledge of CAD, GD&T, blueprint reading, precision measurement instruments
- SolidWorks experience
- Prior work experience with medical contract manufacturers or suppliers with exposure to PPAP, APQP and ISO 13485
Pay Range USD $28.00 - USD $35.00 /Hr.
