CAMBA Supervisor of Talent Acquisition, Human Resources Department in Brooklyn, New York

CAMBA’s Human Resources Department manages all aspects of human resources and administrative functions such as onboarding, employee benefits, compensation, recruitment, interviewing, hiring new staff, and performance measurement/appraisal.

Position: Supervisor of Talent Acquisition

Reports To: Director of Talent Acquisition

Location: 1720 Church Avenue Brooklyn NY 11226/Hybrid remote

What The Supervisor of Talent Acquisition  Does:

  • Oversight, Management & Collaboration

  • Provide support and guidance to all staff regarding Talent Acquisition processes.

  • Continuously seek to improve the quality of Talent Acquisition outcomes and contributions to the organization.

  • Lead and participate in administrative and staff meetings as requested.

  • Supervise assigned Talent Acquisition staff, provide guidance, development, and support.

  • Continuously seek to improve the quality of Talent Acquisition outcomes and contributions to CAMBA.

  • Recommend methods and approaches to Talent Management/Acquisition and other related HR functions that result in streamlined processes, increased efficiencies and the delivery of information, tools & resources to staff.

  • Talent Acquisition Functions

  • Plan and coordinate routine CAMBA hosted interview events and job fairs.  Attend external hosted job fairs or other talent acquisition events that could further the CAMBA brand and/or talent acquisition pool.

  • Create strategies to reach mass audiences utilizing all available methods of technology and/or platforms (i.e. ATS, social media, external partner sites).

  • Seek to build relationships with institutions which CAMBA can benefit mutually in regard to talent acquisition efforts.

  • Work with vendors (i.e. Indeed) and appropriate CAMBA staff and/or consultants on social media and advertising of CAMBA talent acquisition efforts and brand.

  • Monitor CAMBA’s employer brand and work with other members of HR and CAMBA on improvement and sustainability.

  • Implement and sustain processes and procedures related to Talent Acquisition, including technology, such as Applicant Tracking Systems and other technological platforms.  Serve as point person these processes and procedures.

  • Recruits for assigned roles, including but not limited to, administrative & supervisory roles.

  • Works with hiring managers to manage the recruitment life-cycle.

  • Prepares and executes job offers and leads in compensation negotiations.

  • Training & Development

  • Work with Director, Talent Acquisition to coordinate trainings or guides related to Talent Acquisition and collaborate on the development of HR trainings in other HR functional areas as appropriate and evaluate the effectiveness of trainings.

  • In conjunction with the Director of Talent Acquisition, develops and facilitates training on use of ATS, interviewing skills and other recruitment-related topics.

  • Reporting, Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee and produce routine and as necessary, external and/or internal requests for reports related to assigned Talent Acquisition function responsibilities.

  • Responsible for regular tracking and reporting of recruitment-related data.

  • Working closely with the Director of Talent Acquisition, uses data to analyze turnover, retention, time-to-fill, and makes recommendations for improvement.

  • Provide all required information for weekly/monthly/quarterly/semester/annual reports to CAMBA management and/or to funders.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and regulatory laws and/or requirements in Talent Acquisition function.

  • Maintain knowledge of trends and changes in Talent Acquisition and related Human Resources legislation.

Other: 

  • Collaborate with the HR team members who lead or focus in other HR functions (Onboarding, Benefits, Employee Relations & Engagement).

  • Immediately report any problems unusual occurrences to supervisor.

  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

Other Requirements:

  • Three (3) years of similar or relevant experience in a mid-sized (500+ employees) organization, including managing teams.

  • Excellent written & verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Strong Computer literacy in other Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems & Applicant Tracking System.

  • Ability to balance shifting priorities and keep track of multiple tasks and deadlines.

Compensation: $80,000-$85,000 annually

When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization. 

Status: Full-time (35 hours per week)
