Rising Ground Sr. Director (Path to Success) in Brooklyn, New York

The Senior DirectorofPaths to Succeswill serve as the leader, external face and visionary for Rising Grounds comprehensive services for children, youth and school-based services. This role will provide leadership and oversight to Rising Grounds services to youth and school-based programs residing in our Paths to Success portfolio. The Senior Director will be responsible for the overall management, growth, and sustainability of these programs, and managing a team of directors and clinical professionals ensuring the highest quality of services while fostering a culture of trauma informed care and staff well-being. This role will oversee program development, implementation, evaluation, quality assurance and audit processes to ensure excellence and innovation in the delivery of our services to community schools and youth.

The Senior Directorwill serve a key role in strategic planning to increase the capacity, scope and impact of our work to support the social emotional, academic and overall positive development of youth in our most marginalized communities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and leadership to youth programs within the Paths to Success (PTS) programs.

  • Supervise and support directors, clinicians, and staff teams across Paths to Success programs providing regular support, coaching, and professional development opportunities.

  • Facilitate regular team meetings to ensure PTS programs and staff have a space to foster collaboration and innovation in our work.

  • Serve as a Liaison to community partners, funders, stakeholders and advocates. Represent Rising Ground at community events, conferences, and meetings.

  • Provide fiscal oversight for PTH programs ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.

  • Ensure the timely submission of reports as required by funders and Rising Ground.

  • Oversee quality assurance practices across PTS programs ensuring that these programs meet or exceed performance goals and outcomes.

  • Ensure PTS Programs are audit ready at all times.

  • Collaborate with the quality assurance department and program directors to ensure effective data collection, management and reporting.

  • Establish and implement internal QA processes and procedures including data management collection across all Paths to Success Programs.

  • Collaborate with Rising Ground development staff on fundraising initiatives, assist with grant writing, and contract management for foundation and government grants.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with schools, community partners, families and other community stakeholders.

  • Ensure that all PTS programs meet or exceed Rising Ground’s standards for trauma-informed care and interventions.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, public administration, or a related field.

  • 5 years of experience in youth and or community program leadership, and development

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Bi-lingual a plus / preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel

  • Comfort traveling throughout NYC

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes late evenings, weekends

  • Demonstrated expertise in youth development, community engagement and partnership building

  • Experience in program development, grant writing and budget management.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and mobilize teams around a shared vision.

  • Experience working with diverse populations of youth, LGBTQ+ communities of color

  • Experience leading and supporting multi-disciplinary teams in a collaborative environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy, kindness, and compassion in all interactions.

  • Commitment to fostering a trauma-informed culture within the organization and advocating for its integration across all workplace practices and approaches.
