Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Proposal Manager within our team. This is a remote opportunity.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the proposal development process while maintaining a degree of flexibility to adapt to team, scheduling and other requirements.
  • Interpret technical and management requirements of solicitations (e.g., RFPs, TORFPs, RFIs).
  • Develop and oversee proposal schedules, populate proposal outlines, develop and manage the compliance matrix, conduct proposal kickoffs, and raise risks to leadership throughout the proposal process.
  • Facilitate proposal reviews and make ongoing recommendations to ensure compliance and increase evaluation scores.
  • Oversee the development and timelines of high quality, high impact graphics for proposals.
  • Collaborate across a broad spectrum of leaders and stakeholders to guide, develop and submit proposals on time and compliant with customer requirements.
  • Manage multiple proposals with the support of other leaders, sometimes with rapid turnaround deadlines.
  • Initiate, develop and/or support Proposal Operations activities (e.g., content databases, SharePoint library management) as needed/requested.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least three years proposal management experience
  • 8+ years of proposal support experience
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work to meet deadlines (nights, weekends, and holidays at times) yet remain flexible to the needs of the team and/or requirements of the RFP.
  • Ability to assist in developing compelling themes, discriminators, and messaging.
  • Ability to work well both in a team and independently.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of marketing, editing, graphic design, and other relevant proposal best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to coordinate geographically disparate teams.
  • Ability to create original content using interview and research techniques.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint
  • 8 + years of demonstrated experience in proposal writing covering all typical solicitation sections (e.g., Management, Technical, Staffing)
  • Commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Formal proposal training and/or relevant certifications (e.g., APMP, PMP)
  • Ability to remain upbeat, positive, and constructive within a dynamic environment operating under high-pressure deadlines.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $95,000 to $158,000.
