Position Summary

The Product Engineering Manager is the subject matter expert within Fulfillment Operations for the design, development, and industrialization of new products at Prose. The role will work closely with R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to bring customized made-to-order products to market.

This is a hybrid role based in our Sunset Park, Brooklyn manufacturing facility. Candidates based in the New York City area can expect a base salary that ranges from $130,000 to $140,000. The base salary offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, select, and build systems and processes to support New Product Innovations (NPI) at Prose.

  • Qualify and lead new manufacturing systems through Commissioning (FAT/SAT) and Validation. (IQ/OQ/PQ)

  • Implement optimal and cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods for new product launches in accordance with process specifications and cGMP quality standards.

  • Collaborate with greater Operations team to assess production capacities and constraints for current and forecasted volumes

  • Provide operational input and manage all functional and mechanical specifications of new products and technologies.

  • Develop and institutionalize a NPI Handbook to act as a template for industrialization.

  • Design and/or participate in budget requirements for new capital equipment.

  • Coordinate with multiple departments to refine the Bill of Materials process for new products.

  • Work with multiple departments and provide technical assistance or resolve issues.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Key Candidate Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related discipline preferred.

  • 4-7 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven leadership skills managing a team of individuals.

  • Strong understanding of good manufacturing practices.

  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organization.

  • Ability to function both independently and as part of a team; must be flexible and excited to grow with the organization.

  • Strong sense of urgency with excellent problem resolution and communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel.
