HIRING FOR AN OVERNIGHT HEMATOLOGY MLT IN BROOKLYN, NY

Job Description:

• The overnight hematology technologist will be responsible for the following:

• Reading slides, reading the different red/white blood cell counts and counting them

• Responsible for QC being run and correct

• Looking through software

• Validating any abnormalities from slides

• Doing urinalysis microscopy

• Must have good communication skills, able to communicate if instrument is down, candidates must be proactive and willing to work.

• Shift: Overnight Shift (Flexible Hours)

• Can work 10:30pm - 6:30am, 11pm - 7am, 11:30pm - 7:30am, 12am - 8am, 1am - 9am

• Schedule will most likely be Sunday - Thursday

Qualifications:

• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license

• Professional experience working in hematology

• Comfortable reading slides/manual differentials

Additional Details:

• Shift differential of $4.25

• 40 Hour work week

• Opportunities for growth, into lead or supervisor positions

• Private medical lab located in Brooklyn Navy Yard. Each shift has 1-2 techs and 3-4 lab aides
