Coordinate and manage special events for the company’s clients. Supervise operations during special events and oversee support staff required for events. Work closely with clients to define scope of services and nature of planned events, including purpose, message or impression that the client wishes to communicate through their special event. Plan and develop special event programs, agendas, and budgets. Negotiate contracts with outside service providers and maintain records of event aspects, including financial details. Oversee and manage event logistics and the details of the company’s clients’ special events, such as labor and materials. Manage relationships with customers and vendors. Ensure that all necessary supplies are ordered and that event rooms are equipped with sufficient seating and audio-visual equipment, ensuring that the events adhere to fire and labor regulations. Direct administrative details, including financial operations, dissemination of promotional materials, and responses to inquiries. Perform post-event financial evaluations to ensure the company’s continued profitable operations. Promote the company’s special event services by representing our company at professional and trade events and producing brochures and other publications. Salary: $64,106/yr. Requires: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Public Relations or closely related plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as Public Relations Specialist or related. Related experience must include experience with public relations and marketing and experience performing event budgeting and financial analysis.
