Compensation:
Salary Range for Director Job Selection Programs: 93,473 - $132,672 (Grade D)
Responsibilities:
The incumbent is responsible for directing and coordinating functions of all Service Delivery
hourly and supervisory picks. The Director will ensure an efficient and equitable deployment of
personnel in the operating division. Coordinates schedules and provides technical assistance
to the operating division and represents management at arbitration/grievance procedures.
Education and Experience:
A Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration or a related field and ten (10) years of
full-time related experience with at least five (5) years of supervisory experience; or Satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of NYCT Rules, Regulations, and Operating Procedures
Knowledge of computer applications (MS Word, Excel, UTS )
Knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Skill to read and understand work programs and job schedules
Time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively, in both verbal and written form
Ability to quickly learn and use new systems effectively
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
Ability to create and maintain effective interpersonal relationships
Ability to think strategically and make decisions
Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview
All selected candidates will be subject to a full background investigation that includes
employment and education. Discrepancies may lead to dismissal.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MaBSTOA
payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
