Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Director, Agile Transformation within our team. This role offers remote work opportunities. At Voyatek, we value practical, outcome-driven Agile approaches that meet teams and programs where they are. If you're passionate about driving Agile maturity across an organization and have the expertise to support complex programs with a balanced and collaborative approach, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Agile Transformation Leadership
  • Design and implement an Agile transformation roadmap, aligning with organizational goals and driving business agility while meeting teams at their current level of agile maturity.
  • Develop and promote an Agile mindset across the organization, emphasizing continuous improvement and value-driven delivery.
  • Champion a pragmatic approach to Agile that respects established workflows, focusing on gradual improvements over strict adherence to Agile frameworks.

Program-Level Agile Coaching
  • Guide cross-functional programs in adopting Agile practices, ensuring teams are aligned with program objectives and working cohesively toward shared goals.
  • Facilitate collaboration among multiple teams, managing dependencies and risks to support efficient and predictable delivery.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies at the program level, such as PI planning and cross-team synchronization sessions, to promote communication and coordination.
Cross-Functional Alignment and Communication
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of program goals, progress, and Agile transformation milestones.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and program managers to establish a unified approach to prioritization, backlog management, and sprint planning.
  • Support Agile teams in aligning their sprint goals with program-level objectives, helping teams prioritize work that contributes directly to business outcomes.
Leadership and Team Enablement
  • Lead cross-functional teams in adopting Agile practices at a sustainable pace, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, continuous learning, and accountability.
  • Serve as a mentor and coach for Agile practices, working closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other team members to strengthen Agile proficiency.
  • Oversee the rollout of Agile ceremonies and ensure adherence to Agile best practices, tailoring approaches to meet varying team and project needs.
  • Empower Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other Agile practitioners to find solutions that work for their teams, avoiding one-size-fits-all approaches.
Continuous Improvement and Incremental Change
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by introducing Agile practices at a manageable pace, allowing teams to adapt without disrupting work in progress.
  • Use metrics and feedback loops to assess program and organizational Agile maturity, guiding teams to evolve their practices and improve predictability over time.
  • Encourage a practical, results-focused approach to Agile, helping teams implement changes that enhance efficiency and alignment without compromising on quality.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Agile transformation and coaching initiatives, providing regular updates and aligning efforts with organizational priorities while managing expectations around Agile maturity.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and expectations.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions to promote a deeper understanding of Agile methodologies and tools, facilitating buy-in through practical applications of Agile practices.
  • Advocate for Agile principles in a way that resonates with business leaders, helping them see the practical benefits of Agile practices for achieving strategic goals.
Risk Management and Problem Solving
  • Identify and address potential challenges associated with Agile adoption, developing mitigation strategies to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Support teams in resolving impediments and removing blockers to sustain productivity and maintain momentum.
  • Actively track and report on Agile transformation progress, making recommendations based on project status and performance data.
  • Regularly review Agile transformation progress, making recommendations that reflect real-world needs and organizational priorities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • 12 + years of experience in Agile transformation, program management, or Agile coaching roles, with a focus on both organizational change and program-level Agile practices.

  • 12 + years of experience with hands-on experience with cross-functional programs, fostering collaboration and alignment across teams in diverse Agile environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Lean, with an adaptable approach to implementation.
  • 12 + years providing exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps, particularly for managing program-level backlogs and metrics.
