WorkSource Oregon Transportation Manager in Brookings, Oregon

Responsibilities: * Oversight of all reporting CDL Drivers, Yard Drivers, and Dispatch Staff. * Direct management of both Highway and Logging truck fleets. * Complete management of all Driver Safety & Training programs. * Ensuring compliance with all Federal/State transportation and equipment regulations. * Management of all products and shipments for both SCL and PWL businesses. * Assist Dispatch Employees as needed. Qualifications: * Proven experience in Transportation or Logistics Management. * Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the transportation or logistics industry. * Valid CDL license in good standing. * Bachelor\'s degree in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Specific Skills: * Proficiency in transportation management software and other relevant technologies. * Ability to work efficiently and adapt to changing priorities. * Strong communication skills and attention to detail. * Reliable, timely, and deadline oriented. * Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. * Excellent problem-solving abilities. * Capacity to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. & #8195; Additional Requirements: * Must be able to work effectively in a team environment with a diverse variety of technical, professional, and administrative staff. * Ability to manage moderate stress arising from schedules, workload, diverse or adversarial stakeholders, etc. * Physical ability to walk, talk, hear, use hands to handle, feel or operate objects or controls, and reach with hands and arms. * Ability to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 50 lbs. * Physical ability to stand, sit, crouch, stoop, bend knees, and rest on knees. * Ability to drive vehicles with either standard or automatic transmissions. * Physical ability to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions. * Ability to work around loud and constant noise continuously. * Tolerance for required personal protective equipment such as safety fire boots, work gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, safety vests, face shields, and hard hats. Working Conditions & Environment: * Work is conducted in a team environment with a diverse variety of technical, professional, and administrative staff. * The noise level in the office environment is usually moderately quiet. * Field/Yard work may be near large machinery (chainsaws, excavators, yarders, bulldozers, helicopters, log trucks, etc.). * Work occasionally requires irregular working schedules and extended work hours due to forest operations, special projects, events, meetings, trainings, etc. * Work may be subject to extreme weather conditions, noise, and reduced air quality from dust or exhaust. Wages: * Wages will be at or above industry average for the role, with compensation heavily based on experience.
