Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of cloud-based solutions on AWS.

  • Develop and implement cloud strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Oversee migration of on-premises applications to the AWS cloud.

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.

  • Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency.

  • Hands-on expertise/development in DOTNET/JAVA/Python

  • Set up eco system (Cloud Services, Accesskeys, AD Groups, Entitlements, HashiCorp, OAuth, Tokenization, Moogsoft, SCIM, SIEM, CI/CD, UAT & PROD environments, etc.,)

  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).

  • Excellent ability to write terraform IaC to provision AWS services

  • Lead proof of concept projects and pilots, develop and maintain technical documentation.

  • Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers.

Basic Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

-At least 10 years experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies.

-At least 10 years experience with developing and implementing applications.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices.

  • Proficiency in designing and implementing microservices and serverless architectures with Cloud Networking & Internet Protocols knowledge.

  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Good Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible ).

  • Good understanding of Observability platforms like Splunk, Moogsoft, Open Telemetry, or AWS CloudWatch

  • Good understanding of AWS RDS, AWS Dynamo DB, and data migration tools

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent certification

  • Experience with .NET/JAVA/Python experience

  • Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS, and/or TOGAF

Location Expectations

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00 - $164,120.00
