Design Engineer II – Battery New Product Development

Design Engineer II – Battery New Product Development
This Design Engineer II primary role uses engineering expertise and knowledge to contribute to the design and development of new to world battery products in a fast paced rapid growing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Main project technical resource on battery new product development
Provide clear engineering information to Project Leaders and the Global Engineering teams facilitating trade off decisions cross functionally as well as marketing.
Ability to handle mid to low complexity projects individually
Develop and maintain build test plans and methods between milestones to ensure project efficiency
Serve as a technical resource on areas of expertise
Experience using engineering problem solving methods (FEA, DOE, Fishbone, FMEA, GD&T) to derive root cause and potential solutions
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
3 years of design experience.
Proficiency in 3D CAD – ProE, Solidworks, NX, or similar as well as FEA.
Strong analytical skills, knowledge, problem solving, and experience in process development and design evaluation.
Experience with manufacturing process – Injection molding, stamping, and plating
Ability to travel up to 10% (travel includes Domestic and International).
High interest in tools of the construction trades.
