Robert Half is partnering with a distribution industry client in the recruiting for a Collections Specialist at their corporate location in Brookfield, WI. This role involves managing customer credit accounts and implementing collection processes, with a significant focus on customer service and accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Regular communication with customers to collect on open accounts receivable

• Perform credit checks and order approvals

• Run credit reports and recommend credit limit adjustments

• Prepare and dispatch collection letters and payment plans

• Prepare uncollectible accounts for third-party involvement

• Resolve disputes in collaboration with operational personnel and initiate adjustments to accounts

• Prepare and process check requests for refunds

• Review general ledger for accounts receivable-related money

• Research credits on the account and update and maintain all customer account notes

• Process credit card payments and answer customer inquiries related to credit line.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• 2+ years of collections experience

• Understanding of Credit management

• Strong Customer Service skills

• Ability to manage and analyze Aging Reports
