Job Information

Transdev Maintenance Shop Service Writer in Bronx, New York

Offering Competitive Hourly Wage Between $24-$26 per hr.

Job Purpose:

Ensures the efficient operation of and control of work request. Directly interacts with all departments and staff to ensure all work is properly handled. Provides support to the Operation to assist with clear communication between the Transdev shop and the customer.

Responsibilities:

1) Opens work request immediately upon receipt.

2) Closes work request immediately upon completion of quality inspection.

3) Answers telephone for shop lines and schedules repair appointments.

4) Maintains vehicle information files

5) Takes road call information, communicates with Lead Technician, Operations Manager, or General Manager to dispatch mechanic or outside service

6) Contacts outside vendors to arrange mechanical repairs, using information given

7) Arranges pick-up of outside repairs

8) Files work orders with PM sheets, DVIR (operator write up), and maintains unit file related information.

9) Runs review reports as needed.

10) The above duties are not meant to restrict initiative, but rather to define minimum activities. These duties may be altered to suit the needs of the company as needed.

Required Skills:

1) Previous Service Writer experience

2) Able to work in a fast paced environment

3)Strong computer, data entry, Microsoft, and database applications skills and experience

4) Excellent verbal and written communication skills

5) Able to use standard office equipment

6) Understand how to file and organize documents
