New York Botanical Garden Gate Attendant in Bronx, New York
Position Summary :
The Part-Time Gate Attendant controls entry into the Garden at walk-in gates and controls parking and the security of vehicles at the Twin Lakes parking lot.
Additionally, this position supports, through actions and conduct, NYBG’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility initiatives and actively helps to build and maintain an inclusive organizational culture throughout the institution.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Screens visitors as they enter the Garden
Provides security of all parked vehicles parked in staff parking areas
Promotes positive customer service
Utilizes two – way radio
Qualifications
A valid New York State Driver’s license
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Long periods of standing and sitting.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
Baseline Work Schedule:
Thursday and Saturday from 10-6:30pm
Pay Rate: $17/ HR
