Family Life Academy Charter Schools Director of Student Recruitment in Bronx, New York
Under the supervision of the Chief Academic Officer, the Director of Student Recruitment will oversee the student recruitment strategy to ensure full enrollment at Family Life Academy Charter Schools. This individual will lead the design and execution of a multi-faceted recruitment strategy to attract and enroll student applicants, working closely with other network- and school-based individuals. They engage in data collection and evaluation related to recruitment and enrollment efforts, support the communications and marketing strategy for FLACS schools, support enrollment efforts after the FLACS lottery, and ensure compliance with FLACS policies related to student recruitment. This position is a year-round schedule and will include some weekend and evening hours.
Key Responsibilities :
The Director of Student Recruitment will:
Ensure that schools meet the enrollment targets by designing and implementing a multi-faceted student recruitment and enrollment strategy which leverages historical data and market analysis to drive results;
Create and implement an effective community-based recruitment campaign with feeder programs, community organizations, and other relevant local partners;
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with community organizations, preschools, daycares, and potential feeder schools;
Organize and ensure the successful implementation of open houses, information sessions, and other recruitment events;
Manage outreach to individual applicant families, ensuring contact by school-based and/or network-based staff (including the Family and Community Coordinator, Student Life Compliance Officer, and Network Administrative Assistant) and conduct outreach to families personally;
Create a strategy to retain students of transition grades between FLACS schools;
Ensures accurate data collection and maintenance of all recruitment data including FLACS’s application and registration system (SchoolMint) and email systems (MailChimp);
Evaluate current and past efforts to plan for future efforts;
Create reports for school leaders, executive network leadership, and the FLACS board which identify current recruitment and enrollment trends and make suggestions to overcome related challenges;
Organize and implement the FLACS Lottery;
Monitor and communicate the status of enrollment efforts post FLACS lottery to ensure full enrollment;
Manage the student recruitment budget;
Cultivate strong relationships with community leaders and school leadership teams to coach, develop, inspire, and continuously improve recruitment and enrollment initiatives;
Develop and facilitate an intentional strategy to engage network and school leaders in the marketing of their schools to prospective families;
Collaborates with the Director of Communications to align the marketing and communications strategies throughout the enrollment life cycle;
Collaborates with external vendors and the Director of Communications to strategize and launch digital, traditional media, and mailing campaigns throughout the enrollment life cycle;
Ensures compliance with admissions policies by the network and school-based operations teams; and
Develops, maintains, and codifies recruitment and admissions procedures and leads training for school-based staff.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; a master’s degree is encouraged. or
Five years of previous experience working either in schools or in a related recruitment role preferred.
Fluent in Spanish preferred
