Essential Responsibility and Role of a Bookkeeper The Bookkeeper is responsible for specific operations of the fiscal department. Responsibilities include bank reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank deposits, journal entries, intercompany transactions, billing and tenants’ receivables, reconciliation of tenant balances and receipts, processing of leasing documents. The bookkeeper is also responsible for retrieving various documents to support entries for the annual audit. Qualifications and RequirementsEducation: At least 60 college credits in a 4-year Accounting Program, and a minimum GPA of 3.0 requiredExcellent computer skills and working knowledge of Excel. Experience using accounting software, Sage, preferred. Physical Requirements Staff must be able to access areas below first floor of main office building.
