Location/Division Specific Information

Based in the Brno, Czechia, you will support the Software Development for the Material Science business unit. Our SEM and SDB microscopy technology is at the forefront of innovation, enabling groundbreaking research in nanotechnology and battery development.

Help us advance material science by joining as a Software Architect. You'll develop solutions that improve our world in areas like microscopy.

A day in the Life:

  • Work with a team of Software Architects and Engineers. Together, you will be responsible for defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision for the solutions that brings value to our customers.

  • Collaborate with Product Management and other R&D departments to ensure fitness for purpose.

  • Describe the Solution Context and Solution Intent, analyze technical trade-offs and determine the primary components and subsystems

  • Proven ability to successfully implement complex architectures.

  • Exceptional communication skills to encourage and motivate teams.

  • Flawless collaboration with other software and system architects

Education/ Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated architecture skills with models, views, and tools.

  • Experience with software development for high-tech system development

  • Experience as an architect within a multi-disciplinary hardware and software environment is preferred.

  • Knowledge of value stream mapping and reducing cross-team dependencies.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to reason in abstract about the solution and patterns to use.

  • Expertise in modern tools and technologies.

  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

This role requires a standard office environment with occasional travel to other development sites. Flexibility and adaptability to different working conditions are essential.
