Overview

We're looking for a Software Engineer in Test to help us extend our Infrastructure Routing team at Oracle-NetSuite in Brno. Being part of our team will give you an opportunity to have a direct and significant impact on the quality of our final product and the pace of delivery. Close cooperation with developers and test engineers from our team, and also other teams across the organisation, will be on a daily basis. In this role, your responsibilities will include design and implementation of verification cases and procedures to assure proper functionality and best possible quality of the newly introduced solution for critical routing service. You will help us modernize and improve robustness and performance of the overall product.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 3+ years of software testing or related experience

  • Self-motivated with great problem-solving skills and ability to understand functional requirements

  • Comfortable analyzing complex problems at all levels of the stack, on both client and server (OS, Network, JVM, Application/Browser/CLI, Storage)

  • Good writing and verbal communication skills in English are required

  • Open mind for discussions and team collaboration

  • Basic knowledge of Linux OS

  • Experience with Java (or similar OOP language)

  • Willingness to often cross lines of ownership to see a solution through

  • Willingness to learn

Nice to have

  • Experience with CI/CD - familiarity with TeamCity, GitLab and the like

  • Experience with Lua language

  • Experience with containers

  • Understanding of cloud-based distributed software applications

  • Shell scripting
