Oracle Senior Software Developer in BRNO, Czech Republic
Job Description
Your role
The team is part of the SuiteCloud Platform, a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) for customizing and extending NetSuite’s core capabilities, and a key driver of NetSuite’s success in meeting the needs of our broad customer base. Customers build on the platform directly or install SuiteApps built on the platform by independent solution vendors.
In this position you will be exposed to a wide range of modern technologies and tools.
We are strong believers in Object Oriented Programming, Clean Code, Design Patterns, Test Driven Development, Test Automation and Continuous Integration.
The team currently has members based in Czech Republic and Philippines.
What you will do
You will be working on the design and implementation of solutions that enable platform developers to distribute their applications to NetSuite customers. You will be developing in Java, JavaScript and TypeScript, and will be thinking about clean code, versioning, tooling, testing and architecture.
Our Platform is used by more than 40k companies around the globe with many different requirements, so our solutions should be generic enough for anyone to use them and fullfill their needs. Are you ready for the challenge?
You will work closely with other development teams and departments, product management, user experience, documentation to define and implement new product offerings while ensuring the continued functionality of the existing SuiteCloud Platform.
Your qualifications and skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree or relevant experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Drive for software design best practices and clean code principles
Clear and effective communicator in both technical and non-technical contexts; office and company language is English
2+ years software development experience with Java (or C# or similar) and JavaScript
SQL database experience
Understanding of HTTP, Internet protocols, web browsers
Knowledge of Design Patterns, Object Programming Paradigm and SOLID principles
Great problem-solving skills and ability to abstract functional requirements
Open mind for discussion and team collaboration
Pride in your work and a desire to delight the customer motivates you to take initiative, responsibility and ownership of your projects
A self-starter who can take a bit of directional input and then drive projects autonomously (but understands when to ask for help)
A positive and resilient personality - you must be able to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement
Fluent level of spoken and written English
Flexibility to work with geographically distributed teams
Valid work permit for Czech Republic
Nice to have
Experience working in development organizations following dual-track agile, SAFe or similar methodologies
Experience in designing, architecting and implementing high performance scalable applications

Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
