Overview

We're looking for a senior level/mid-level/junior (including new College Graduates) Software Engineer in Test to help us extend our Infrastructure Data Connect team at Oracle-NetSuite in Brno. Being part of our team will give you an opportunity to have a direct and significant impact on the quality of our final product and the pace of delivery. On daily basis, you will closely cooperate with developers and test engineers from our team, and also from other teams across the organization. In this role, your responsibilities will include design and implementation of verification cases to assure proper functionality and best possible quality of the newly introduced features. Aside from that, you will also maintain the quality of existing features and ensure their improvement and test coverage. You will help us modernize and improve robustness and performance of the overall product. You will work with technologies designed for high volume database data transfer and embrace the new trends and technologies in this area. We are offering an opportunity to be a part of the team to design brand new features based on these new technologies and you will have the chance to be part of new exciting projects. In Oracle NetSuite world, you will be working among industry leading experts in Security, Reliability, Performance and Software Defined Data Centers.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Experience with Java (or similar OOP languages)

  • Self-motivated with great problem-solving skills and ability to understand functional requirements

  • Comfortable analyzing complex problems at all levels of the stack, on both client and server (OS, Network, JVM, Application)

  • Writing and verbal communication skills in English are required

  • Open mind for discussions, team collaboration and new ideas

  • Willingness to learn and often cross lines of ownership to see a solution through

Nice to have

  • Experience with ODBC/JDBC technologies

  • Experience with LUA and C++ Experience with CI/CD - familiarity with Git, TeamCity, BitBucket etc.

  • Experience with JUnit JAVA framework

  • Experience with analysis of server-side logs with use of tools like OpenSearch

  • Python, shell scripting

Responsibilities

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.
