Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a variety of equipment including forklifts, welders, overhead cranes, saws, sandblast and paint booths, and general facilities maintenance such as changing light bulbs and HVAC systems. You will work from schematics or workbooks as needed to repair the equipment. The role involves working with up to 440 Volt motors, primarily focusing on mechanical breakdowns (90%) with some electrical troubleshooting (10%). Preventative maintenance is also a key aspect of the job.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair forklifts, welders, overhead cranes, saws, sandblast and paint booths.
Perform facilities maintenance tasks including changing light bulbs and servicing HVAC systems.
Work from schematics or workbooks to repair equipment.
Handle up to 440 Volt motors, focusing on mechanical breakdowns.
Conduct preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled.
Collaborate with one other maintenance technician to support the entire plant.
Essential Skills
1 year of mechanical troubleshooting experience (hydraulics, pneumatics, hand tools).
1 year of electrical experience (110 volt, wiring, conduit).
Experience with preventative maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1 year of maintenance experience in the RV industry (highly transferable).
Experience in repairing welders, overhead cranes, and paint booths.

Work Environment
The work environment is a first shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. You will be working alongside another maintenance technician to ensure all plant equipment is operational. The company emphasizes safety and follows OSHA standards to maintain a secure workplace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgman, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
