Job Summary:

The Master Data Governance and Maintenance Manager is responsible for driving the business strategy by ensuring the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of high-quality, reliable master data. This role is pivotal in establishing a culture where master data is inherently trusted, facilitating seamless business transactions, informed decision-making, and operational excellence.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Vision and Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic vision for master data governance, fostering a culture of trust and reliability in data across the organization.
  • Data Quality Management: Oversee the creation and maintenance of master data to ensure it meets high standards of quality, consistency, and reliability.
  • Data Governance Frameworks: Establish, manage, and lead the data governance frameworks and Data Council to align with the company's business objectives, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Process Optimization: Strategically manage and optimize business processes related to data governance to support continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead and manage data governance activities, providing direction and support to teams to enhance data quality and protection.
  • Compliance and Protection: Ensure the protection of sensitive data and information assets, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote data-driven decision-making and support the organization's strategic goals.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or an IT-related field.
  • Master's degree in computer science or a related field as a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years in business process management and/or data governance.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in leading strategic process improvement and data governance initiatives.
  • Experience with process management tools (e.g., BPM, Six Sigma) and data governance frameworks.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of data quality management, data protection, and compliance.
  • Strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire teams.
  • Strategic thinker with expertise in process optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster a culture of data excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a strategic vision for data governance.
  • Proficiency in process mapping, data governance software tools, and data analytics.
  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
