The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A will be an integral member of the US Financial Planning & Analysis team and provide business planning and analytics knowledge to the Salix business unit and commercial support functions. We are looking for the right candidate to grow with us and make an immediate impact on our business.

This is a hybrid role with expectation of three days per week in the Bridgewater, NJ home office.

Major Areas of Responsibility

  • Participate in US commercial Business Unit P&L management including:

  • Month and quarter end closing activities, including accruals, review of commitments and invoice payments, accounting transaction research, account reconciliations, and correcting journal entries as needed

  • Analytic, accounting and financial reporting support, including monthly explanations of actuals vs. plan/forecast

  • Expense management, analysis and forecasting

  • Maintain all budgets and forecasts in Hyperion

  • Provide necessary financial support to the business, via P&L analysis and expense management analytics, to more effectively manage each partner's individual business

  • Work continuously with Sales and Marketing Management providing monthly sales performance/expense management reporting as well as other key actionable metrics

  • Support Sr. Manager and Director in driving on-going process improvements for financial planning and reporting tools and systems by meeting with key stakeholders to understand their requirements, identify opportunities and develop an implementation strategy

  • Successful candidate must be detail-oriented to ensure accuracy of financial records

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Accounting/Finance experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required

  • FP&A experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

  • Ability to use advanced Excel spreadsheet functions and formulas to build and maintain expense forecast models

  • The candidate must be comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong computer skills

  • Hyperion and SAP S4 experience a plus

  • CPA and/or MBA a plus

  • Public accounting experience a plus
