How you make a difference
As aPsychologist, the role involves providing individual and group therapy and conducting psychological testing with committed patients. The position requires active participation as a member of the treatment team,providingstaff education on psychological issues, and overseeing the development, monitoring, and implementation of behavioral management plans. The Psychologist is also responsible for quality assurance monitoring to ensure the provision of high-quality mental health services.
Key Responsibilities
Providesindividual, group, and family therapy, and designs behavior plans for patients.
Conducts psychological testing and supervises psychology interns.
Assistswith quality assurance reviews and serves as a consultant to the multidisciplinary teams.
Oversees the collection of data on target behaviors for behavior plans.
Maintains complete andaccuratedocumentation of services providedin accordance withprofessional standards and facility procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology from an Accredited University.
Experience
- 2 years of experience in a psychiatric hospital or secure facility is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
- Current license as a Psychologist in the state of practice.
