Job Summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Senior Supply Chain Analyst for our Bridgeton, MO facility. A Senior Analyst is to perform specific analyses for the group relative to their field of expertise: commodity, purchasing, proposal costing. This specific role will be to assist as a key point of contact for the department with supply chain proposal support and material cost estimating. This position will lead and develop material cost estimates using supplier quotes and performing analysis of the data to ensure submittal of a good material budget in support of customer requests for proposals. The ideal candidate would work well under pressure, be attentive to details, and have the ability to take initiative.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist department staff with various analyses for the specific area of expertise

  • Review, classify, examine and analyze data in regards to supplier proposals

  • Contact suppliers to obtain prices and schedule for potential new business

  • Upload supplier quotes and provide recommended source of supply for proposals

  • Input target costs and provide analysis against proposal costs

  • Understand Manufacturing Bills of Materials and provide analysis

  • Understand business forecasts and pinpoint any areas of vulnerability of company requirements, making recommendations on how to proactively reduce risk

  • Lead discussions and provide input on proposal quote strategy

  • Provide routine status and track outstanding actions and issues

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures

  • Attend weekly Program meetings and identify any “potential” issues that can be addressed early on

  • Participate in Government proposal audits and provide backup and rationale to questions related to material costs

  • Maintain professional relationships with internal customers

  • Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company

  • Represent Supply Chain during customer negotiations and customer program reviews; review and validate any bids; supply copies of POs/LOCs; prepare charts for customer presentations

  • Utilize Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI to transform DataMart raw data into manageable information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in high technology, aerospace or defense or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures

  • U.S. Persons required

  • Must be flexible, extremely detail-oriented, a quick learner and a critical thinker

  • Strong analytical, technical, problem solving and organizational skills

  • Able to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and make decisions

  • Advanced data entry and proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Ability to understand high level Government compliance regulations and audit associations/implications

  • Ability to excel and stay focused on project completion with minimum supervision

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively interact and communicate (written and verbally) with all levels (internally and externally) in a professional manner

  • Experience with Pro Pricer preferred

  • General understanding of the purchase order process preferred

The expected pay scale for this position is $70,744.00/year - $101,1673.00/year for the state of Illinois. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
