Job Summary and Qualifications

The Senior Insights Analyst directly supports finance, operations, supply chain, clinical, and consultative initiatives by providing actionable information and data to aid leaders in the decision-making process. This role will be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of new analytical tools, reporting, automation, and analysis. This role involves technical and business expertise.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Create scalable reporting solutions related to Enterprise initiatives

  • Develop and deploy Qlik Sense applications for ad hoc needs and reporting capabilities

  • Analyze large, disparate data for data quality and gap-analysis

  • Act as subject-matter expert around allocated cost calculated by the Enterprise Cost Accounting team and on Patient Financial data

  • Read and write complex SQL queries independently on large, complex datasets to analyze data, support operations and create reports

  • Engage with stakeholders at Corporate, Group, Division, and Facility level to improve and support operations

  • Automate reporting and analytics needs to reduce manual efforts internal to department as well as to other users at Corporate, Group, Division, and Facilities

  • Develop processes, procedures, and initiatives in need of Enterprise standardization efforts and implement those solutions

  • Participates in testing of new reporting technologies, both new tools and new releases (e.g. Qlik NPrinting, Google Cloud Platform, ETL/ELT tools, BigQuery)

  • Develop and test complex reporting applications that meet coding standards and best practices

  • Work both independently and collaboratively to develop and deploy Enterprise-wide standardization projects

  • Ensures integrity of data is intact; is translated into useful, actionable information; and is interpreted appropriately by customers

  • Contributes to the success of the strategic initiatives of HCA Healthcare and Reporting, Benchmarking, & Analytics through managing innovation, creativity, quality and continuous improvement.

  • Approaches initiatives and opportunities with automation, scalability, and data integrity as the focus

  • Ability to identify & implement appropriate reporting solution leveraging robust suite of tools to meet business objectives

  • Engage with all levels of Enterprise to assist in reporting needs

  • Maintain strong relationships with other business units such as Clinical Services, Supply Chain, Operations, Performance Improvement, ITG, and Field Staff (Divisions & Facilities)

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree Required

  • 1+ year(s) of experience in healthcare Preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in reading and writing SQL Required

  • 1+ year(s) of experience in BI Tool development Required
