Kidlink Treatment Services (a UHS company)

Kidlink Treatment Services’ network of programs includes more than 50 specialized educational and residential behavioral treatment centers. Each center provides programming for children and adolescents who may have been unsuccessful in previous treatment settings.

These services provide access to programs for male and female youth, including those with low cognitive functioning, severe emotional disturbance, sexually abusive behaviors, psychiatric disorders, or extreme anger or aggression issues. For more information please visithttps://kidlinknetwork.com

Position Summary : This position is responsible for the full life cycle of each referral by receiving, recording, disseminating, and tracking for each referral within the regional market. This position will assess the referral and provide clinical judgment for referral to appropriate facilities. This position will maintain the referral database by appropriately tracking each referral from receipt to admission into regional facility. This position will work jointly with the facility intake staff and regional business development team in communicating with referral sources/guardians the status of each youth referred for admission and will assist in making decision on best program for child based on clinical programing. This position requires a master's level in a human services or behavior heath field (social work, LPC) or Registered Nurse degree.

Job Duties:

  • Receives and responds to all referral inquires and provides appropriate information to potential patients, their families, and the referral sources.

  • Assesses and provides clinical judgment for the client/referral to the appropriate level of care. Works jointly with Account Managers in communicating with customers and facilities the status of youth referred for admission. Maintains knowledge of admission criteria, treatment services, and clinical programming at each facility.

  • Manages each referral packet and the disposition for all assigned facilities demonstrating every effort to secure a disposition from the facility within one working day of receipt. Communicates the acceptance or denial of the referrals to the appropriate individuals.

  • Facilitates weekly conference calls with regional facilities to review their referral status report to obtain updates on status of referrals as well as current census and scheduled admissions and discharges. Guides facility intake staff on next steps and viability of each referral based on referral trends and communication with referral source/guardian.

    Qualifications

    Education Required:

    Masters Degree, Registered Nurse

    Knowledge:

    Knowledge of accessing clients for appropriate level of care required.

    Skills:

    Proficient in the use of electronic correspondence and word processing.
