The Medical Recruiting Specialist partners with HR Managers throughout respective facilities in the ongoing facility recruiting efforts. This position will support the CoreCivic Medical Recruiting team focused on screening applicants for our Health Services positions. Responsible for the internal and external posting process, screening applications for minimum requirements, and referring qualified candidates to the next step in the hiring process. Provides support and oversight to facility HR teams relative to the applicant tracking system (ATS), selection and processing of applications. Identifies facility hiring issues and assists in developing appropriate solutions. Monitors and provides guidance in outreach efforts for affirmative action programs to ensure all qualified applicants and employees receive an equal opportunity for recruitment, selection, and advancement. Stays current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

  • Administers the established internal and external ATS posting process for respective facilities and/or positions.

  • Conducts preliminary screening to provide facilities with qualified candidates to interview for open positions.Communicates with facilities throughout the selection process and reviews documentation to confirm that positions have been filled and candidates have been properly dispositioned. Administers the processing of expired applications at the applicable review status.

  • Assists applicants with web application process/questions and responds to employment inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Provides training to facility staff as needed in the proper use of the ATS, to include timely updates to the system and hiring assessment tools.

  • Assists hiring managers with questions and the implementation of recruitment best practices at local facilities.

  • Participates as needed in college recruiting, military and social networking recruitment efforts, and on-site or off-site hiring events to include virtual events.Assists with sourcing activities using applicable software as needed.

  • Utilizes specific technology and software to include but not limited to, Text Recruit, Smashfly, Zoom, JD Edwards (JDE) and Indeed for candidate processing and recruiting efforts.

  • Ensures compliance with state and federal laws governing selection, hiring and employment. Domestic U.S. travel may be required.

  • Domestic U.S. travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree is required.

  • One year of recruiting, or human resources experience that includes recruiting and/or employment hiring processing experience is required. Additional related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

  • Must have professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with an HRIS or ATS system is required.

  • Domestic U.S. travel may be required.

  • A valid driver's license is required.
