Summary You will serve as a Production Controller (Ships) in the Operations Department of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. This is a competitive detail not to exceed one year and is intended to provide an opportunity to gain the competencies necessary to perform the duties of a Production Controller (Ships). If selected there will be no change in your salary. Upon successful completion of one year, you may be eligible to compete for GS-1152-11, Production Controller (Ships) positions. Responsibilities You will work as a member of the Project Planning and Execution Team providing data, reports and support for processes. You will review, analyze and monitor and availability's cost and schedule data. You will verify data through communication with project managers and periodic on site analysis of processes and results. You will accomplish special projects and support availabilities as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications * This is a competitive detail not to exceed one year* To be eligible for this position you must either: Have journey-level trades experience as a Wage Grade (WG), Wage Leader (WL) or Wage Supervisor (WS) employee. OR Have completed a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level (GS-07) in one of the following General Schedule (GS) Positions : GS-0343-Management Analyst; GS-0802-Engineering Technician; GS-0501-Financial Management Analyst; GS-1152-Production Controller; or GS-1712-Training Specialist.
