Immediate Office of the Chief of Naval Operations ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT in Bremerton, Washington

Summary You will serve as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of Judge Advocate General (OJAG) of NLSC. Responsibilities You will purchase supplies, equipment, and services in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 and 17. You will evaluate requirements, measure relevant procurement factors, solicit cost estimates, and recommend course of action to achieve objective, as necessary, for certain, non-specific procurement requests. You will track procurement actions to ensure timely and complete delivery of materials and supplies to respective activities. You will verify requirements for special attention items are met and requirements are not on the list of prohibited items. You will work directly with vendors and customers alike to ensure necessary items are purchased and received, or appropriate substitutions are provided. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following: 1) Completing procurement transactions for supplies, equipment, and/or services; 2) Utilizing various web-based programs to conduct research, review and reconcile information, and/or run reports; 3) Evaluating requirements, measuring relevant procurement factors, soliciting cost estimates, and recommending course of action to achieve objective, as necessary, for certain, non-specific procurement requests. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you may be noncompetitively converted to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment under specific conditions.
