Compensation

$27-$30 per hour

Job Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator will use their analytical abilities to fulfill any and all tasks related to Human Resources such as benefit administration, leave of absence processes, and terminations via layoffs and demonstrate creativity to boost morale within the organization through monthly events.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison for field/plant contacts to ensure understanding and compliance with company benefits, HR policies, and regulations

  • Acts as secondary initiator in the completion of manual updates including but not limited to, pay increase, apprentice updates, terminations, W-4 changes, direct deposit updates, etc.

  • Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all databases used by the Company such as JDE, ColasWays, UNUM, BenefitsPath, etc.

  • Ensure all documents pertaining to employees’ personnel files are scanned and indexed accordingly and within a timely manner

  • Manage and organize company activities committee, plan and coordinate company events

  • Participate in Company benefits administration and annual open enrollment

  • Responsible for conducting new employee orientation including scheduling physicals, reference checking, and dissemination of safety and benefits information

  • Work alongside Management to complete compliance forms including but not limited to shift change letters, local hires, Sec. 3, and DAS 140-142s

  • Other duties as assigned

Education

  • 1 year minimum in Human Resources

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish (strongly preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar degree (preferred)

  • Ability to handle multiple projects with frequently changing priorities

  • Proficient in Microsoft products

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High accuracy and neatness in all work aspects

  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and demonstrated initiative

  • Great teammate with the ability to work alone for specific tasks

  • Ability to conduct meetings and/or speak in front of groups of people

  • Proficient knowledge of HR principles, policies, practices and regulations

  • Previous experience with HRIS systems, preferably JD Edwards and Success Factors
