Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Brea, California

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Brea, California. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be tasked with managing payments due, ensuring the accurate recording of corporate expense invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and record corporate expense invoices

• Manage recurring corporate expense transactions

• Accurately maintain accounts payable bill records and validate supporting documentation to meet compliance requirements

• Ensure timely payment of all bills to avoid past-due situations

• Foster and maintain positive relationships with vendors

• Handle positive pay exceptions and set up new vendor accounts

• Oversee weekly check runs and initiate ACH/wire transfers for expense payments

• Assist with the month-end close process and account reconciliations

• Prepare and submit corporate card admin expense reports

• Manage business license renewals and assist with 571-L property tax return preparation

• Reconcile year-end 1099 payments report for preparation and filing

• Provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits when needed. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or a related field.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial records.

• Proven experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP), including managing and organizing financial obligations.

• Experience in executing check runs to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.

• Capability to handle coding invoices, aligning with proper account classifications.

• Strong data entry skills, ensuring precision in recording financial information.

• Proficiency in invoice processing, ensuring all invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, showcasing ability to manipulate and analyze financial data effectively.

• Familiarity with the Acumatica software, demonstrating ability to handle financial operations within this platform.
