Robert Half Plant Controller in Brazil, Indiana
Description
We are in the process of recruiting a Plant Finance Manager to join our growing team in the greater Brazil, Indiana area. The role involves overseeing the financial operations of the company, managing the accounting department, and contributing to the company's annual Business Plan. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing financial models, forecasts, internal control policies, and procedures, among other duties.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the financial operations of the company and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Manage the accounting department and contribute to the company's annual Business Plan
• Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets
• Provide financial leadership in preparing the annual plan, quarterly forecasts, and monitoring performance
• Conduct product cost analysis, set product standard costs, and review quotations for cost estimation
• Ensure robust quotation cost estimation tools are in place and used
• Coordinate physical inventory, lead the cycle counting program ensuring high accuracy, and monitor financial performance against business metrics
• Prepare timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements
• Manage all cost accounting activities including inventory tracking, labor collection, and preparing/transmitting letters of credit documents to Corporate Treasury
• Establish and maintain internal control policies, manage cash flows, oversee treasury functions, and ensure regulatory compliance
• Manage the accounting and finance team, foster a culture of accountability, and identify/assess financial risks/implementing risk management strategies.
Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas - Explor & Prod industry, particularly in a Plant Controller role or similar capacity.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is vital.
• Expertise in handling Accounting Functions is required.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is essential.
• Familiarity with Annual Budget preparation and execution is needed.
• Should have a strong background in Auditing.
• Proficiency in Budget Processes is necessary.
• Must have experience in Month End Close procedures.
• Should be skilled in Financial Reporting.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Ability to perform Cash Management tasks effectively is required.
• Experience in setting up and maintaining Internal Control systems is necessary.
• Proficiency in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) is essential.
• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting is required.
