Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

$30.87/hr | Terre Haute, IN

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. Our company is a global leader in packaging solutions and is committed to sustainability by making all our products recyclable or reusable by 2025. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for repairing and maintaining production equipment, including extruders, flexographic printing presses, and bag making machines, as well as company buildings and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform data and root cause analysis and provide improvement ideas to the engineering groups.

• Repair and maintain highly technical equipment such as servo drive systems, PC controlled systems, and drive integration systems.

• Follow guidelines for completing and routing work orders, purchase requisitions, parts availability, and vendor information in the CMMS.

• Repair and maintain electro-mechanical plant-specific equipment systems.

• Provide detailed documentation of problems on CMMS to pass along information to the incoming shift.

• Assist in training for operators and mechanics.

• Perform the basics in each of these categories: Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Plumbing, Machinist, Lubrication, Millwright, Work from blueprints and manuals, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics.

Work Environment

This is a 3rd shift position (7 pm-7 am, 2/2/3 schedule), averaging 50 hours per week. Our million sq. ft. manufacturing facility is clean and organized but not temperature controlled, so it can get hot in the summers. The facility is divided into areas to make it more manageable, with large machines spaced apart. You may need to work at heights as some machines are three stories tall. PPE is required, including steel toes, hat or hair net, beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and hard hat. Our facility operates in a union environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Terre Haute, Indiana.
