In this role, you’ll divide your time equally between two main responsibilities. As a Statutory Accountant, you’ll prepare and review statutory financial statements to ensure they comply with local regulations. The other half of your role will involve providing expert consultation on complex IFRS topics to maintain compliance. This balanced approach ensures you engage comprehensively with both statutory accounting and IFRS consultation.

The salary range for this opportunity starts at 3500 EUR gross per month. The final salary offer reflects the set of skills and experience that selected candidates bring to the team.

Through this role as Senior IFRS and Statutory Accountant you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements in compliance with local regulations.

  • Providing expert consultation on complex IFRS topics and ensuring compliance.

  • Coordinating and managing audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

  • Collaborating with tax teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc.

  • Reviewing and interpreting financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • 5+ years of experiencein statutory accounting and IFRS within international corporations.

  • Holding an educational backgroundin Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Specializing in IFRS: Proficient in IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers), IFRS 16 (Leases), and IFRS 9 (Financial Instruments).

  • Strong understanding of statutory accounting principles and financial standards.

  • Ability to handle complex accounting structures and collaborate with tax teams for accurate reporting.

  • Ability to handle various topics and provide key resolutions

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills and Expertise

  • Experience with SAP
