nVent Master Data Analyst in Brasov, Romania

This role is part of a collaborative, global team where you will support building, entering, and maintaining customer and supplier master data for nVent. You will ensure the quality, consistency, and compliance of these data domains that form the foundation for our business operations, insights, relationships, and growth. This role has ample opportunities to drive continuous improvement, technology innovations, and standardized global processes.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Create, update and/or maintain customer and supplier master data in core technology platforms (e.g., ERP, Salesforce, etc.) based on requests submitted from the business.
Monitor and follow up on incomplete requests to drive prompt completion of open items.
Ensure work instructions for the setup and maintenance of customer and supplier master data are current and accurate.
Research, analyze and help resolve complex data requests, with support from the team manager as needed.
Work with other departments (e.g., Inside Sales, Purchasing/Planning, Controlling) to review and clean up existing master data by executing and monitoring required action items.
Assist in the completion of required compliance activities related to nVent’s third-party financial control environment.
Maintain key ERP databases, based on the requirements of the different business segments supported.
Actively participate in nVent’s global master data implementation and maintenance, as well as other technology initiatives involving customer and supplier master data.
Assist in the collection and submission of data as part of any internal or external audit requests.
Adhere to all nVent internal controls, policies and procedures as part of the supplier and customer set up process.
Work together with nVent Compliance to improve processes surrounding compliance requirements embedded in master data information.
YOU HAVE:
Academic background of Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
Previous experience:
3+ years working with customers, products, sales orders/invoicing, purchasing. Any work in master data administration, customer service, purchasing/planning or finance is relevant.
ERP system experience required, such as SAP, Infor M3, or JD Edwards
Experience in operational process management – maintaining, improving and communicating business processes consistently
Experience in a publicly-traded company preferred
Track record of success in process improvements and creating efficiencies that add value to your organization.
Skills:
Intermediate or advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Windows based software (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Technical aptitude and/or willingness to learn new software/applications is highly desired
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functional and organizational teams with good communication skills.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with team members in other countries.
Ability to prioritize and manage competing requests in a high volume environment.
Strong organizational and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Willing to work overtime during periods of peak activity.
Fluency in English
Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands:
Work will be in a normal office environment. The ability to clearly and comfortably view, interpret and process information via a computer monitor for extended periods of time during normal working hours is required. Sitting at desk for long periods of time.
