Job Title: Extrusion Machine Operator

Job Description

Begin your journey in the manufacturing sector as an Extrusion Machine Operator, where you will initially focus on packing, loading, and assembling boxes with vinyl siding at the end of an extrusion line. As you gain expertise, you will be trained to safely and effectively set up, operate, troubleshoot, and perform changeovers on an extrusion machine following established procedures and customer requirements. Your responsibilities will include filling out machine logs, production reports, startup checklists, tearing down and reassembling dies, and performing various quality checks to ensure product excellence in thickness, color, and overall quality.

Hard Skills

• At least 2 years of experience operating injection molding or plastic extrusion equipment

• Ability to use measuring equipment

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 480 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Brant, Ontario.

Work Environment

Work in a small manufacturing environment with 5 production lines and a warehouse. The setting features a light plastic smell and a loud atmosphere.
