Job Title: Temp Sandblaster/Raw Painter - Continental

Job Description

Job Duties Summary/Breakdown: - Sandblasting epoxy and metal parts - 75% of the day - Crosstrained on painting - 20% of the day when not busy sandblasting - Moving barrels of sand and parts around the floor using electric walkie - 5% of the day

Detailed duties: - Prepare and maintain the blast and paint booth and PPE (personal protective equipment) on a daily basis - Prepare objects for blast operation according to procedures and instructions - Monitor the condition of equipment and tooling - Clean and prep surfaces using processes such as sanding, scraping, and grinding - Use of spray equipment (air/airless) to apply paint and other materials - Apply a protective coating to a variety of metal material surfaces - Monitor extractors, drying fans, and heaters - Board and mask material - Ensure all paint-related waste is properly labeled, stored, and disposed of - Maintain paint booth and associated equipment to ensure proper working condition - Ensure job meets all requirements before leaving the work cell - Meet or exceed established production levels - Perform preventative maintenance procedures - Inspect all work before passing it on to the next operation - Follow all health and safety procedures for machinery - Ensure waste disposal is managed following Health and Safety/Environmental procedures.

Hard Skills

• 1 Year in manufacturing/production experience

• Electric pallet/Walkie experience (no license needed)

• Comfortable wearing an Air-fed suit/respirator

• Comfortable working in an enclosed space

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Brampton, Ontario.

Work Environment

Medium-sized manufacturing company. Each shift has 12 Machine operators, 6 Assemblers, and 4 other employees performing general duties in the plant.

SHIFT - 12 HOUR CONTINENTAL Days 6AM - 6PM

Week 1 - 5 days on Week 2 - 2 Nights on

Rate is $19.50/Hour + $1/hour continental = $20.50/hour
