Our team is seeking a Senior ICAT Architect, responsible for customer-facing technical and professional services sales support, where you will put into practice your proven ICAT engineering talents in support of our large enterprise, strategic and public sector accounts.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, FS & Construction, you’ll join an energetic team of construction, ICAT, telecom and business professionals who are passionate about delivering a great customer experience by way of comprehensive solutions design, technology mastery, engaging presentations, and all-around technical thought leadership.
What you’ll be doing:
Primarily responsible for delivering critical design solution that are supporting the sales teams to meet their national quota in the Rogers construction vertical.
Participate in sales forecast and client calls.
Lead customer demos for Rogers Smart Communities with the customers.
You’ll help to identify, and will interface with, key decision makers of current customers and prospects, construction professionals, developers, consultants and property managers on all sales opportunities for your assigned sales channels.
You’ll leverage your extensive ICAT and construction design assist experience to create differentiated and fully supportable technical solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements.
As the ‘owner’ of the design, you’ll engage the requisite internal and external teams to fully assess costs, deliverability, schedule and supportability of the solutions, and ensure they’re fully understood by the account team and the customer.
You’ll meticulously document vendor quotes, PSOWS, CSOWS, COPS, POs, monthly billing and SOVs, and advance the solution specifications internally/ externally and support downstream service delivery nd support.
You will be responsible for project monthly invoicing, forecasting, cost tracking and reporting.
As a key source of feedback from the field, you’ll regularly deliver structured, succinct and measured insights reports to the AEs/ executive management as the voice of our customers.
You’ll foster strong relationships with other internal Rogers groups including Network Planning, Transport and Engineering, Service Delivery, and Service Assurance in support of providing a great customer experience.
In support of keeping our team at the forefront of telecommunications’ evolution, you’ll both receive, and deliver, comprehensive formal technical training to/from your peers.
Internal coordination with Rogers service delivery, finance, planning and in-building teams for project delivery and solutions.
You will be responsible for markups on existing drawings for the solutions, review SI’s and change orders, create project schedule and roles and responsibilities matrix for the project. Submit project documentation including shop submissions/ drawings. Coordinate with consultants on project deliverables of solutions.
Accountable for the coordination of project vendors including commissioning, scheduling, billing and costing.
Attend all relevant project meetings both internal and external to the projects.
Detailed knowledge of Bluebeam, Salesforce, Admin3, PowerBI, Microsoft Project, Excel, Powerpoint, AutoCAD and Visio.
Subject matter expert on the following; security ( CCTV, access control, smart locks ), network (BBN) including wifi/ DAS/ GPON, digital signage and AV and all other low voltage solutions in the construction environment.
A PMP certification would be an asset.
Responsible for project vendors supporting the construction vertical including running and managing external project meetings.
What you will bring:
A University degree or technical diploma in Engineering, Architecture, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
You will have a working understanding of ICAT, mechanical, electrical, architectural design and drawings.
You must be able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
Understanding how to read, draw and fully understand logical network diagrams and solutions.
Knowledge of wifi heat maps and DAS IBwave designs including topology and riser diagrams.
You have 10 years of work experience in the construction field with direct project management experience.
You’re a strategic and creative thinker, able to both understand the big picture, and dig into the finer details.
A proven record in solution and product positioning, technical writing, communication and presentation.
Ability to persuade, negotiate and sell.
Experience as a primary content contributor for complex RFP documents.
Strong understanding of project scheduling and sequencing of work, integration of various technologies, smart building solutions and IOT products.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Sharepoint, Teams, etc.).
Use of a personal vehicle for business purposes is required.
Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
Physical ability to walk job sites and lift heavy objects.
Up to date certification on WIMS, fall arrest training etc is required.
Ability to work independently on proposals, solutions and project delivery.
