Position Title: Manager, Customer Strategy & Planning

Location: Brampton, ON

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Customer Strategy & Planning

Position Overview

The Manager, Customer Strategy & Planning (CS&P) will work closely with cross functional teams in the development of customer strategy, focused on driving top and bottom-line growth within the segment. They will leverage syndicated data, brand priorities, category, and consumer insights to develop comprehensive customer strategies, enabling profitable growth and market share gains. This position works as a partner to sales on a set of assigned customers, and is responsible for retail strategy, using knowledge of the marketplace to drive business results.

Job Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with sales, develop retailer specific GTM category selling story and customer playbooks

  • Working knowledge of customer/channel insights and perspective of the various channel dynamics

  • Represent voice of customer internally ↔ represent voice of company externally; always seeking to drive objective alignment

  • Develops assortment principles for all retail formats to build share and improve profitability

  • Develops customer specific promotional needs - items/program/displays

  • Participates in annual planning process for respective customers, inclusive of bottoms up sales forecasting, building blocks for key drivers and risks/opportunities.

  • Participates in the ownership of the customer P&L, trade funding & overall tracking of profit goals

  • Lead pricing action strategy with internal thought leadership and preparing sales for execution/negotiation

  • Responsible for financial analysis on Price Exceptions and ITN investments outside of existing guardrails

  • Responsible for Sales Planning Call as an input to S&OP cycle specifically at DRM. Focus on driving improvements to forecast accuracy and attainment

  • Marketplace landscape regarding demand / supply prioritization and liaison with customer teams to drive best in class executions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (emphasis in business, marketing, or related field)

  • 5+ years of experience working Experience with a CPG or durable company, ideally in channel management, brand management, insights. or sales, preferably with Retail / Mass Channel

  • Strategic thinking, self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with aggressive deadlines

  • Strong business acumen and ability to articulate overarching strategy

  • Build strong sustainable business relationships at all levels and functions of the organization and with customers and customer teams

  • Advanced presentation skills, with experience presenting to both internal and external stakeholders
