Description We are on the search for a Sr. Tax - Public, operating in the industry, and based out of Braintree, Massachusetts, United States. The role is central to our operations, ensuring the smooth running of tax and accounting services. As a Sr. Tax - Public, you'll be tasked with preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing tax planning and advisory services, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and review tax returns for various entities including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.

• Offer tax planning and advisory services to clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws and capitalizing on tax-saving opportunities.

• Provide year-round tax support, including handling extensions, quarterly estimates, and audits.

• Analyze financial statements to decipher tax implications and ensure accurate reporting.

• Swiftly respond to client inquiries and offer solutions to tax-related issues.

• Conduct research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Foster and maintain strong client relationships, offering proactive guidance and support.

• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality service.

• Keep up-to-date with changes to federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.

• Utilize accounting software systems efficiently and effectively for tax preparation and other accounting functions. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Active CPA license preferred.

3-5 years of public tax experience, including tax preparation and advisory services.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.

Proficient in tax preparation software

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
